Mission

We are organized exclusively for charitable purposes with the mission to lend a hand and make a positive difference for individuals and families impacted by cancer.  All net proceeds go towards  direct relief for individuals with cancer living in the Northern Virginia and surrounding area or towards supporting community health programs. While our focus is breast cancer, cancer treatments can take a toll, no matter what the type, and so we are an equal opportunity supporter. We support cancer patients by arranging services such as house cleaning, food delivery, respite care, medication co-pays, taxi services, wig purchase, rent and utility assistance, and other services to lessen the daily burden of individuals undergoing cancer treatment. The individual needs of the person dictates the assistance we give. Whatever we can do help and allow them to focus on the task at hand- fighting this dreaded disease.

Did You Know?

  • A woman has a 1 in 8 chance of developing breast cancer during her lifetime. Think about how many women you know...  Chances are you know someone or will know someone that can benefit from our services
  • Every 3 minutes, there is a new diagnosis of invasive breast cancer.
  • Approximately 230,000 new breast cancer diagnoses are made in the US each year.
  • Every 13 minutes, a life is lost to breast cancer. On October 3, 2011, our lives were shattered when breast cancer stole yet another young life.
  • Approximately 40,000 lives in the US are lost to breast cancer each year.
  • There are more than 250,000 women under the age of 40 in the U.S living with breast cancer, and over 11,000 will be diagnosed this year.
  • Virginia has one of the highest mortality rates for breast cancer

There are a lot of individuals and families in our immediate area who are suffering. If we can offer assistance to ease the daily burden to allow them to focus on the bigger issue at hand then we are accomplishing our goal.
